Sign Up Your Team
- Select
"Online
Registration"
- Select
“Sign up Here”
- Agree
to the standard participant waiver
- Select
one of the following: “Start
a Team of your own”
- Complete
the registration form. Note:
If you registered online last year, you can “autofill” the form
if you remember your username and password.
- Enter
a Username and Password
- If
you have already registered offline input your code here else put any number
to proceed.
- Select
a "Start a Team"
- Select
T-shirt size
- Optional
Selections
- You
can get started on the way to your fundraising goal by making a donation to
yourself
- If
your company participates in “gift matching” you can enter that
information next
- Input
your personal fundraising goal (you can change this later)
- Select
Continue
- You
will see a confirmation page, and will automatically be sent to My HQ
to set up your personal online donation page.
Set
Up
Once you have registered, you will automatically be sent
into your Personal Headquarters to build your web page.
(You can also build a team page here.)
- Start
by selecting a picture for your Personal Donation page.
You can either select one from the image Library or load one of your
own pictures.
- You
also have the option to add a background theme to your page.
- Customize
your web page text. Tell
everyone why you are choosing to participate in Relay For Life, and ask them
to join you.
- If
you are a cancer survivor or are participating in honor or memory of a loved
one, share your story of hope.
- Remember
you can always go back and add/change your photo and text at any time.
In fact, you may want to change your page frequently to keep it
fresh.
E-Mails
Send out e-mails to your friends and family welcoming them
to your web page and inviting them to get involved in Relay For Life.
Ask them to join your team or start one of their own.
If they can’t join, ask them to click on the “Make a Donation” link
to make an online donation.
- From
your Personal HQ, click on the E-Mail tab. Here, you will be able to list as many as 50 e-mail
address at one time, personalize a greeting to each person, customize your
message, and send all of the e-mails at once with the tough of a button.
- Recipients
will receive an e-mail with your name on it, a personalized greeting (Hi
John), your customized message, and a direct hyperlink back to your
personal donation page. It’s
that easy to begin raising money online.
- There
are templates online that you can use if you are stuck for words.
- You
can even draft e-mails to be sent some time in the future.
- Be
careful with the verbiage in the subject line of the emails.
A lot of computer programs will kick out e-mails that they perceive
as spam “spam.” So, don’t use terms like “free” or “offer” or “exciting”
- Remember,
the more e-mails you send, the more chances you have to bring visitors and
potential contributors to your donation page.
- Click
on e-mail history log to see how many e-mails you have sent and how many
people have read your e-mails.

Their hours are 8am-6pm, PST and their staff is very helpful.
Reports
Track your progress and the progress of your team using the
Reports tab. You can pull a
donation report, a team donation report, and a team participant report.
Tools
The Tools tab has many functions.
- If
you receive an “offline” donations (i.e., someone gives you a check for
$100) you can enter that amount by using “Pledge entry” and your offline
amounts will be tracked with your online totals.
- You
can print a donation report for someone send a donation through mail for
you.
- Register
team members using “Team Registration”
- You
can also edit your login and password, and assign a co-captain.
